We want a real proof that social elements around a specific goal and financial incentives help people to achieve their goals at a higher rate than without them. Hypothesis: Motivation in the form of a cash prize will increase the retention of users in the challenge compared to social motivation or the lack of motivation in the form of cash rewards and support from other participants. The challenge is to get up at 6 am during one month. Product features: Group 1: Users who meet the challenge criteria and complete it will share a $100 prize. Group 2: Users will pay $5 to join the challenge. Those users who meet the challenge criteria and complete it will share a $50 prize from the platform plus the money from those participants who failed to meet the criteria and dropped out. Group 3: Users will earn social points (a form of gratitude and recognition for completing the challenge). Additionally, they will receive and can request support from other participants, motivational quotes, etc. Group 4: Participants in the control group will perform the challenge tasks without any additional incentives in the form of cash rewards or social support. This will allow us to measure the impact of introducing various motivational tools for other groups against the scenario of no external stimuli. Target users: New users recruited from the internet, 400 people in total. They will be randomly assigned to one of the four groups of 100 people each after going through the same onboarding process. Key metrics: • Retention • % of users who finished the 2-week challenge • Number of messages sent in the group chat Expected outcome: Increase retention by 10-15% in groups with cash motivation compared to the control group. Action plan: If the hypothesis is validated, we will implement motivation in the form of cash prizes for new users. If not, we will conduct further tests with other types of motivation. We want you to help us to test our theory in the cheapest and fastest way possible.
